India has the second largest population, which is one of the reasons for the large production of waste. As a result of the increase in urbanization, there is an equal increase in waste production. The problem here is with waste management. In most cities, overflowing dustbins create an unsanitary environment that leads to various types of unnamed diseases. An efficient smart dustbin can be used to manage disposed waste. Several structural models have been proposed with both advantages and disadvantages. In this project, we developed a model that first detects the waste, automatically opens the lid if the waste gets near the bin, collects the waste, detects whether it is wet or dry, and divides it into two bin chambers. . Once the bin reaches a certain level, it will also give an alarm that the bin is full and the bin needs to be emptied. The main focused functions will be level control, waste collection and waste detection. All this data can be viewed in the Blynk app. The proposed model is cost effective and energy efficient.
