The current waste management system requires a lot of time and work, so the authorities in the cities do not always monitor the huge amount of garbage thrown away, which quickly increases the number of health risks for the population. Therefore, it is necessary to improve the management of waste and dispose of it correctly. Using sensors and controllers, current trash cans can be upgraded to be state-of-the-art and more modern. The Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) waste disposal system uses tags and scanners to identify users before allowing them access to waste bins. The bin has a reward system that influences or reinforces people's attitudes towards littering as they earn reward points which upon achievement. A mobile application based on the mobile application is also developed and tested for various use cases.
