Third Eye for the Blind is an innovation that helps the blind to navigate quickly and confidently by detecting nearby obstacles using ultrasonic waves and alerting them with a buzzer sound or vibration. They only need to wear this device as a belt or cloth. Vibration intensity and beep frequency increase with decreasing distance; this is a fully automated device. It will be wearable technology for the blind. One of the main features of this device is that it will be affordable. The Arduino Pro Mini 328-15/16 MHz board is worn as a device. It will be equipped with ultrasonic sensors composed of modules. Using the sensor, the visually impaired can detect objects around them and travel quickly. When used at scale, with improvements in the prototype, it will drastically benefit the community. So it is an automated device. So this device will be very useful for blind people and help them to travel to different places.
Objectives:
The objective of this project is “The Third Eye for the Blind” is
➢ To design a portable wearable device for the visually impaired and those who often have to rely on others.
➢ To help visually impaired people move confidently from one place to another by being aware of surrounding obstacles using a wearable band that produces ultrasonic waves to alert them with buzzing sounds or vibrations.
➢ To design a device with a portable, cost-effective, easy-to-use, efficient system with many other amazing features and benefits to support the blind in detecting obstacles and in motion using a motion PIR sensor.
